About Us
Spellbrook is a voluntary controlled Church of England Primary School.
It was founded in 1891.
Our vision is to be an inclusive learning community, where everyone strives for excellence within a Christian environment.
We have regular links with the church of Great St. Mary’s in Sawbridgeworth and Father Simon Vivian, Vicar of Sawbridgeworth is a member of our governing body.
Ours is a small school with a maximum roll of 120 pupils. There is more information about our class structure in the pupil section.
We are very lucky to have lovely grounds that enable us to include outdoor learning in our curriculum. We have a woodland with an outdoor learning hut, wildflower meadow with activity path and a large field. Our playground has a trim trail that the children love and we now have a Multi Use Games Area with an all weather surface. The classrooms have their own outdoor areas.
The original buildings of 1891 are still in use.
